Public only what you switch on.

That is the whole principle. Below, the specifics the law (GDPR) asks for.

What data and why

Account: name, username, email, password (stored only as a hash). Optionally, if you declare them: country, gender and categories, used only to show your footprint on the matching roads, and public through that display. Legal basis: our contract with you (art. 6.1.b). Content: what you upload, with the date you choose and the words you write. It stays private until you switch it on. Switching on each moment is your explicit consent (arts. 6.1.a and 7) to show it publicly, per moment, revocable at any time by switching it off. Barometer: for each visitor we keep a random identifier in a cookie (mlf_v, one year) to tell a return from a new pass. It is not linked to a name, IP or other data. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) in running the barometer.

Who sees it

Your library: only you. Your footprint: everyone, only for what you switched on, at the depth you switched it on. Files are served through our own servers, which check on every request whether the moment is switched on. When you switch it off, it stops being served within less than a minute.

Where it is stored

On infrastructure of Vercel Inc. (hosting and file storage) within the EU where available, with standard contractual clauses for anything that transits outside the EU. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Advertising

When programmatic advertising is enabled on public footprints, visitors will be asked for separate consent through a consent management platform (IAB TCF). That consent concerns the ad networks' cookies and is independent of your own decision about what you show. Today no advertising runs and no advertising cookie is set.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection: by email to christou@diversitymedia.gr, answered within 30 days. Account deletion removes all your data and files. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

Minors

The service is for adults. Minors are never switched on in a way that identifies them.
